O Allah please bless this man.. Ustaz Shamsuri Ahmad

I have been listening to his lectures since 1997. And I am still listening once in a while. Who is this guy that I claim to have so much admiration for his lectures? Since I never met him in person nor attended his lectures.

His name is Shamsuri Ahmad, unfortunately I don't have and couldn't find his biography. According to my limited knowledge, he is a religious teacher of Penang origin. He actively gives Islamic lectures at many places in the northern region of West Malaysia (Penang, Kedah and Perlis). He is well known as "Ustaz Shamsuri" among Malays and was awarded Dato'ship somewhere last year.

I have heard many lectures delivered by many Islamic preachers in Malaysia. Honestly I think he is one of the best preachers we ever had in this century. And I thank Allah, our mighty God for that. His choice and arrangement or words are good, easy to understand and the points he wants to deliver are always reachable to my brain. Since his lectures would have been for the predominantly Malay speaking community, so he used Bahasa Melayu (Malay language) with an interesting Penang accent. I like his accent by the way.

Being a good Muslim, does not secure him from being slandered or dislike. Let me not elaborate those bad experiences. He handled it very well alhamdulellah.

To those who like to backbite and slander, Islam prohibits such acts.

O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, in deeds some suspicions are sins. And spy not neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear God, verily, God is the one who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.
[al-Hujuraat 49:12]

Lastly I wish him, Dato' Shamsuri Ahmad, all the best. His lectures do leave a trace in my heart. May Allah bless him and his family and those who listen to his lectures.

BWF Website is attacked again...

.
Firefox warning! A large red warning appears in lieu of the page

I was about to check the latest world ranking involving my favourite badminton players, suddenly the site was blocked by my Firefox 3.0. Interestingly Firefox 3.0 does prevent some malicious pages from loading. Its new anti-malware blocker will warn users when they steer Firefox to sites that are known to install viruses, spyware, Trojan horses and other malicious code. Now it tracks before my Kasperky does. Alhamdulellah, at least I feel secured with Firefox. Then I double check with Google by means of Google search engine, a warning "This site may harm your computer" appears.

Now it should be a wake up call for Badminton World Federation. Your site is prone to malicious attack. I'm not sure whether this attack happened for your second time but I am very sure this is not your first time...

Don't ask me why I hate Israel...

.
Firstly I would like to condemn the U.N. for giving the right to the Jews to establish the illegal state of Israel in Palestine. This is way injustice! Many religious Jewish groups also reject today’s Israel and its Zionist basis such as Satmar, Dushinski and Neturei Karta (NK, or “Guardians of the City/Faith”). Thanks to these groups for manifesting their disagreement. It is also interesting to note that according to them the Torah specifically forbids a Jewish state established by force and before the coming of the Messiah.

It has been more than 60 years Israel terrorizing the land of Palestine

If the argument was about the Kingdom of Israel and Judah, and the exile for more than 1000 years ago, therefore giving them right to "get back their land" is irrelevant and NOT acceptable to my opinion. Many things had happened within this period. The real history tells us that the first people to settle in Palestine were the Canaanites, six thousand years BCE. They were an Arab tribe who came to Palestine from the Arabian Peninsula, and after their arrival, Palestine was named after them. As for the Jews, the first time they entered Palestine was approximately six hundred years after Prophet Ibrahim had entered the land, i.e., they entered it approximately 1400 years BCE. So the Canaanites entered Palestine and lived there approximately 4500 years before the Jews. Then what right the modern Jews have on the Palestinian land? Absolutely NONE, not even for a single acre.

It has been more than 60 years the illegal state of Israel was forcefully created and the crimes committed by Israel are just overwhelming. Brutal aggression of Israel against Palestinian people, expulsion from their lands, massacres and ethnic cleansing which continues to this day. Israel has no shame. Don't ask me why I hate Israel...

Bertudung tapi gedik...

.
Menyedihkan tetapi itulah hakikatnya.

Public Lecture on Palestine at SIRIM-AMREC

.
CERAMAH DAN PELANCARAN TABUNG PALESTIN DI SIRIM-AMREC

Today at 3 pm, we had a public lecture on Palestine, subsequently a launching of Palestine Humanitarian Fund at Advanced Materials Research Centre (AMREC), SIRIM Berhad. The event was organized by Kelab AMREC with the purpose of increasing the awareness of our brothers and sisters in AMREC on the Palestinian issues particularly the on-going situation in Gaza. My warm gratitude goes to Dr Asri Selamat (AMREC Club's President) and the organizing committee for making it happened. The 1.5 hour lecture was delivered by Mr Aminuddin Shuib, the Deputy President of Jemaah Islamiah Malaysia (JIM) Kedah, a non-profitable non-governmental organization of Malaysia.

Mr Aminuddin delivered it very well. Alhamdulellah. Although I've seen most of the pictures and videos, I don't border rewatching. I consider them as memory refreshments. What I learned, each one of us (Muslims) is accountable for what happened in Palestine. Each one of us can cry but cry alone is not enough. Not at this time...

An afternoon lunch with Bashir & Palestinian friends...

.
No wonder Bashir insists me to stay, he plans to cook magluba and invites his close friends. I tasted his cooking before, not bad for a so-called non-professional cook. To a guy of my standard (who doesn't know how to cook except fried egg and instant noodles), of course I consider him a pro. During the time he was preparing the meal, I spent mine surfing the net upstairs. Lazy me, eh?

Bashir's cooking art - Magluba (The up side down)

Our afternoon lunch became more interesting with the presence of Muhammad Najjar (a.k.a Abu al-Abid). He has a new story everyday. With some immediate translations by Aamir (Bashir's housemate), it was good enough to make me laugh. Truly it was a very wonderful afternoon. Alhamdulellah. Being in another society where the spoken language is far different and hardly understood, normally makes one feel lost and isolated. For that reason I appreciated Aamir and Wael for their efforts in making some translations (I mean those necessary ones). About the food, of course I enjoyed it. Bashir, you are a good cook!

Eating together in one big plate... I enjoy this!

From left to right: Malek, Wael, Tareq & Bashir

A new story from Abu al-Abid, in which he accidentally left his car keys in his car, was so funny to hear, enough to cheer everybody up

Abu al-Abid makes everyone listen. More story to tell...

Unable to sign in Yahoo Messenger

.
I was not able to sign in my Yahoo Messenger almost two weeks now. I don't know why. I'm using Celcom Broadband, wireless. There is no problem with Windows Live messenger. I checked my firewall and Kaspersky antivirus. No problem with the settings. Anyway I already wrote a feedback to Celcom and Yahoo Help Central, and now waiting for an explanation.

Buy Nestle Last... Bye Bye Nestle

Nestle is obviously a pro-Israel company. Its investments in Israel's food maker Osem and Maabarot, as well as the establishment of Nestle Research Center in Sderot, Israel, enough to tell how serious their support goes. So for my personal boycott, I'm starting with Nestle and all its affiliated products.

There are so many Nestle products in Malaysia and as well as in many other countries in the world. Here are some of them:

Nescafe Premium range
The popular 3 in 1 instant beverage
The popular breakfast cereals
Nestle ice creams
Nestle cultured drinks
Milo
Maggi instant noodles (Maggi is actually a Nestle brand)

Maggi sauces
Nestle breaks our heart enough

I still have Nescafe 3 in 1 regular at home. A few more sachets left to finish. I'll buy Nestle no more and switch to another brand. Enough is enough. Bye bye Nestle....

My forever support to Boycott Israel Campaign

.
Israel's aggression against Palestinian seems to be a never ending story. It hurts me too much, in which I will never forgive. Israel is supported by those 'giants' America and Britain, as well as many big entities in Europe. Furthermore Muslims are far from united. That's why Israel can survive. Enough to say that Muslims are almost powerless against them, as far as politics and military are concern, perhaps at this time.

What I learned, a big building can collapse if its support pillars are removed. Therefore boycotting Israel's products and those supporting them could probably the best thing to do right now, if we really want to fight the injustice.

There are so many pro-Israel companies searchable in the internet. An effortless one can be found at Innovative Minds UK.
